AnthroDesk Wired Ergonomic Vertical Mouse to the Rescue #AnthroDesk #ad

The AnthroDesk Wired Ergonomic Vertical Mouse is connected through an USB cable that has approximately 4 feet of cable, while the dimensions of this item is 122 mm L x 62 mm W x 75 mm H.

The mouse has five buttons [back, forward, DPI, left click, and right click] and a scroll wheel. At a glance, this right-handed mouse looks as if made of a matte-black rubber; however, it is made of plastic.  The scroll wheel is made of a tempered ABS material and it makes it more resistant than the regular plastic used on other mice. The lower price point doesn’t deter from its effectiveness.  It’s ready to use right out of the box; simply plug it in and it’s ready!

This mouse is equipped with a DPI button that allows you to adapt it to your needs [1000, 1600, 2400, 3200 DPI’s (Dots per Inch)].  However for me it doesn’t really play an important role.  DPI’s essentially is how sensitive the mouse is; or rather, the higher the DPI the farther the cursor on your screen will move when you move your mouse.  This feature is more crucial for gamers and for those involved in graphics.  Good to note:  this mouse is compatible with Windows and Mac OS X.

The AnthroDesk Wired Ergonomic Vertical Mouse has an LED light indicator.  It glows green, pink, blue, and red depending on your DPI configuration.  While the LED light indicates the DPI configuration, some say that the LED lights can assist you to find it in the dark.  This would be useful for students who stay in a dorm room but share it with another student … just imagine being on different schedules and having to stay up late to do homework while your room mate has to get some sleep!

The shape of the vertical mouse is sculpted to fit your hand, as if you had it extended to shake someone’s hand.  This makes for a comfortable position; it reduces the potential for wrist pain and strain because your arm isn’t twisted as it is with the use of a traditional mouse.

I have carpal tunnel syndrome and after using the AnthroDesk Wired Ergonomic Vertical Mouse I can say that I have really noticed an immense difference!  The vertical position is ergonomic which makes it comfortable for anyone to use, and especially for those who spend long hours at their computer, or for those who already have health concerns.

Overall, the AnthroDesk Wired Ergonomic Vertical Mouse is an excellent economical choice.  If I were to make any changes it would be to suggest that it not be made as lightweight as it is.  When I click the left button it’s difficult to hold the mouse still.  Perhaps it’s just me?   I just think that if it had a little more weight that it might make it feel more substantial and therefore make it easier to hold it still while clicking the buttons.

Want Your Cat To Be Happy? #ArmandHammerCat #ad

Arm & Hammer™ Cloud Control™ Breathe Easy Clumping Cat Litter (Multi-Cat) is relatively new on the market.  I actually haven’t tried any other cat litter since I was introduced to my current litter!  I basically fell in love with it and became loyal to it.

Disclosure: I have been compensated to share this post. The opinions on this blog are my own.

Since I have a past relationship with Arm & Hammer™, I was extremely excited when I received an invitation to attend an event held in Toronto last week.  The small group of invited guests were introduced to Arm & Hammer™ Cloud Control™ Breathe Easy Clumping Cat Litter (Multi-Cat), and we also were able to play with two adorable kittens that are available for adoption through SPCA Ontario.  You can view the video I recorded, and posted, of them.  Simply follow this link to see my post on Instagram:

More importantly, you can visit the Ontario SPCA website to adopt a fur-baby!

They are so adorable and will probably be adopted quickly.  At least I hope they will be.  Honestly, I was tempted to put them in my pockets and walk out with them.  Don’t you think they’re sweet?

It was difficult to focus on the Arm & Hammer™ Cloud Control™ Breathe Easy Clumping Cat Litter (Multi-Cat) presentation while the two adorable kittens were in the background.  I thought it best to focus on my needs; I have 5 cats at home after all.  So what’s important for me?

Key Reasons I was excited to try this litter:

  • I’m already an Arm & Hammer™ Cat Litter user.
  • Made with a hypo-allergenic light scent.
  • Helps to reduce airborne dander when scooping.
  • Seals and destroys odours for 7-day odour control – guaranteed.
  • 100% dust-free litter.
  • Clumping litter makes scooping easier.

If these key reasons are important to me then I’m certain that they’re important for you as well.

I hope you’re not thinking that it’s “just litter”.  In my opinion, it’s much more than just plain litter.  When I’m the one that has to clean the litter boxes in my home litter is extremely important!  As I mentioned, we have five cats.  Four are ours and the fifth is a foster (for now).  When I am bent down cleaning out the litter boxes the last thing I want to do is breathe in the nasty smells that come from them.  Aside from the smell there are allergens, airborne dander, and litter dust to consider; none of which are good for our health.  So if there’s any product that promises to provide a solution then I am open to trying it.

While scooping out the litter boxes, it’s true that you’ll often see/breathe a cloud of dust.  There is; however, a moment where that cloud is worse.  Personally, I can’t stand pouring litter into the boxes because that is when a huge cloud is emitted.  That cloud of dust makes me cough, but the fine dust also rises and spreads out.  The dust ends up covering everything in its vicinity.  I noticed this happen because my litter boxes are kept in the basement near where I do my laundry.  One day after doing the laundry, and after I had folded everything, I noticed that the litter boxes needed a top up of clean litter.  I had set my clean laundry on the table, and proceeded to fill the litter boxes.  That’s when I noticed the cloud “poof”, rise up, and cover my laundry with a layer of litter dust!  I was obviously not pleased.  From that point onward I never completed those tasks at, or around, the same time.

Understandably, I felt compelled to witness the actual pouring of Arm & Hammer™ Cloud Control™ Breathe Easy Clumping Cat Litter (Multi-Cat).  I had to see for myself if there would be a cloud of litter dust or not.  At the end of the event the group gathered around the kittens and I walked to the front of the room and quietly asked if I could pour the litter out myself.  We set up a little experiment, and I was amazed with what I saw.  It was amazing to see NOTHING.  Not a thing.  While pouring the litter there wasn’t a cloud of litter dust; at all. No dust.  No poof.  There was nothing at all.  It was beautiful to see.  I recorded it and posted it on my YouTube channel.  You can view it here:

I have to say, the kitty litter station is so much nicer to deal with now.  I’m very happy with my experience with Arm & Hammer™ Cloud Control™ Breathe Easy Clumping Cat Litter (Multi-Cat), and I urge all cat parents to try it too.  Cats don’t like dirty litter boxes so they’ll be pleased with a clean box.  Remember that you should have one litter box per cat plus one extra.  That would mean that if you have 2 cats then you would need to offer them 3 litter boxes.  You should also clean the litter 1 to 2 times daily.  Since I have 5 cats I clean their litter boxes 4 to 6 times daily.  Remember to completely change the litter and thoroughly clean the box once every 30 days.  It might seem daunting (and it is) but it will ensure you have happy kitties.

My babies are happy cats, and I’m a happy cat-mom.

Thank you Arm & Hammer™

Dyson V7 Slim Cordless Stick Vacuum ~ Where Have You Been All My Life?

Disclosure: I have been compensated to share this post. The opinions on this blog are my own.

Several days ago I received the Dyson V7 Slim Cord-free Vacuum; to review, free of charge from The Home Tester Club.  I had been eagerly awaiting its arrival since I had received confirmation that I had been selected for the opportunity!  Upon opening the box to reveal its content, I reviewed its contents and then plugged in the Nickel Cobalt Manganese Battery Pack to fully charge … it arrives approximately 20% charged.  I have been testing it around the house ever since.

While I can’t say this vacuum is specifically right for you, I can say; however, that it is absolutely perfect for me!  With all of my health issues (degenerative disc disease, arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome, etc) that I have, trust me when I say that normal day-to-day movements are painful and I normally need assistance to complete tasks.  If there isn’t anyone around to help me I have to push forward and do it by myself even if it causes me great pain.  In order to cope, I take many mini rest breaks.

As most of my social media followers know, I have cats … five of them actually!  Five cats mean a lot of fur EVERYWHERE.  I’ve gone through a handful of vacuums and I have issues with each of them; some minor and some major but issues nonetheless.  The ones that are powerful and can handle sucking up the amount of cat hair that accumulates each day are too heavy for me to carry around, and can’t fit under sofas or other furniture.  The ones that are light enough for me to carry around don’t have enough power to suck up all of the hair, and its’ charge doesn’t last.  With either option I find that I have to use other cleaning tools to finish the job.

I’m thoroughly impressed at what the 2.3 kg Dyson V7 Slim Cordless Vacuum can do and I’d like to share my findings with you.  So sit back and read on.

Even though the Dyson V7 Slim is so lightweight, it is a powerful vacuum.  In fact, it’s far more powerful than I had originally anticipated.  The fact that the V7 is lightweight makes it easy to carry.  The V7 turns from one side to another effortlessly because of its ball, and while it is powerful it isn’t too noisy!  Would you believe me if I said my cats don’t even flinch as I walk by them while vacuuming?  It’s true!  My life has been transformed since testing the Dyson V7 Slim.  I am looking forward to vacuuming more often.

I love how a full charge gives me 30 minutes of solid suction power.  From hardwood floors, to ceramic and even carpets … I don’t even have to change attachments.  If there is ever an area that needs a little extra suction the V7 has it to give with the MAX mode that gives an extra 6 minutes of extra power!  Spot cleaning and quick clean ups are effortless too because with a quick snap the cord-free vacuum can convert to a handheld! The attachments can be used either way, and cleaning is worry free because you can vacuum whether you point upwards (walls, drapes, corners), or downwards (on floors, and stairs).

Once the cleaning fest is complete all that’s left to do is to clean out the dirt canister.  This step is easy; all you need to do is to point the canister over a garbage bin and pull on the dirt ejector … your hands don’t need to touch the dirt!  You don’t need to do anything more except wash and dry the dirt canister every so often.  That’s it!!

The Dyson V7 even comes with Docking Station so that you can store and charge the vacuum.  You’ll always be ready for a clean up.  It’s convenience in a snap!

In spite of the long list of pros, there are a couple of cons too:

(1) It is a little pricey

(2) You have to keep holding the power button

I would like to be able to lock the power button to an ‘ON’ position rather than having to hold it the whole time that it’s running.  If you recall when you fill your car up with gas?  You either can pump it by holding the lever down the whole time, or you can hold the lever down and lock it so that you no longer have to hold it while you’re filling the tank.  I would change the Dyson V7 Slim so that it would be similar.  This solution would make it even easier for people with arthritis or carpal tunnel syndrome.

I highly recommend the Dyson V7 Slim Cordless Stick Vacuum.  I’m so happy that I was given this opportunity!  Thank you Home Tester Club!
