Real Help for the Toughest Talks  – Nervous about talking to your kids about sex? Anxiety over having “the talk” often means we avoid it as long as we can. In this immensely practical and well-researched book, Anne Marie Miller equips parents to take control of the narrative their children are receiving about sex. She shows how to have meaningful and age-appropriate conversations about sex, pornography, and sexual abuse. She also shows how to keep the lines of communication open so that your kids know they can trust you with their fears, struggles, and mistakes. Most important, she offers hope that your children can grow up with a healthy biblical view of sex as a gift from God.

My View

While I don’t necessarily agree that children need complete sheltering from life, I do agree that perhaps we might consider talking to kids about the family values is important.  We must discuss the media’s influence and impact on our lives .. follow the steps to have a healthy view of sexuality.

Anne Marie Miller is the author of five books. She has been featured in numerous publications, including Cosmopolitan, Relevant Magazine, Leadership Journal, Christianity Today, and Youth Worker Journal. Miller speaks frequently at colleges, conferences, and churches in the United States and internationally. She and her husband, Tim, live in Iowa. Learn more at http://www.annemariemiller.com.

Scientists are beginning to understand that our thinking has a deep and complicated relationship with our eating. Yet most of us give very little thought to our food beyond taste and basic nutritional content.

In this revolutionary book, Dr. Caroline Leaf packs an incredible amount of information that will change your eating and thinking habits for the better. Rather than getting caught up in fads such as raw foods, vegan, gluten-free, or paleo, Leaf reveals that every individual has unique nutritional needs and there’s no one perfect solution. Rather, she shows how to change the way you think about food and put yourself on the path toward health.

If you’re tired of traditional diet plans that don’t work, if you struggle with emotional eating, or if you’re simply not satisfied with your level of health, you’ll find that this book is the key to discovering how you can begin developing a healthier body, brain, and spirit–for life!
