The End of My Health Ordeal?

The end of my whole health ordeal is (dare I say?) finally over!  It’s been a long couple of months; in fact, I thought it might go on indefinitely; however, the end has arrived.

On Thursday May 19th, I went to the hospital to get a sonogram.  This would ultimately show us if the infection had finally come to an end…and pretty much it had!  What little infection remains doesn’t warrant keeping the drain so out it came!

You have no idea how thrilled I am.  While I was informed that I would bleed, and also the dye used would drain along with the blood, for the next couple of days, I didn’t even really listen.  Who cares?  Whatever!  It’s over!  I’m free!  What’s a couple of days of blood and dye?  When it’s done, it’s done and I’ll be able to move on.

Since I was surgically forced into menopause, I’ve been experiencing some wicked harsh hot flashes!  On Friday, May 20th I began taking estrogen pills.  This will help alleviate my menopause symptoms and I’ll only be on them for 5 years.

I don’t need any progesterone; in case you’re wondering.

Thank you for all the support you’ve extended throughout this ordeal.  Hugs to all.

  1. YOUR medical emergency actually woke me up !!! I woke up with pains at 2:30am and thought, oh, I’ll just go see the doc at 8am when he hits the office…by 7am I was telling hubby he had to bring me into emergency. That evening of the 16th I had surgery for a hernia on my small intestine and was out of the hospital by tthe 18th. I guess your plight woke me up, to realize that BOOM , this stuff can happened fast and we have to be more aware of the signals our bodies are telling us. I am happy to hear you’re doing better. (So am I but going stir crazy with too much time on my hands) Get well (And I really love those flowers you’re sharing on instagram)
