Feed your Appetite

My New Year prep routines have changed over the years. It depends on my needs! Years ago, when my daughter was a baby, I spent my New Year at home alone and very much needed a quiet family night. Years prior, when I was young, foolish, and freshly wed, I needed to cut down on expenses. I needed to plan home party … my routine then was to prep everything as early as possible, and to set up do-it-yourself tables for snacks, so that I could enjoy time with my guests. This year, my family continues to deal with my mother’s illness. It’ll be a quiet family night, once again. My prep routine is very simple: get what our small family wishes to eat/drink, prepare all dishes early, ensure my furbabies enjoy the quiet night with us.
What are some of your New Year prep routines?
I often do nothing for New Years. We used to have parties, but I grew tired of them. This year both my kids will be home. That hasn’t happened in forever. So maybe I will do something small but not sure.
Great tip about the food.I never really thought about that but it makes sense.Thanks.
