On August 30, Canadian chain South St. Burger Co. turned 10. Most 10 year olds born in August celebrate their birthday with something obvious like a pool party, but always ahead of the curve, South St. Burger celebrated theirs by unveiling a “Not-So-Secret” Menu.
Disclosure: I have received coupons to share this post. The opinions on this blog are my own.
The South St. Burger Secret Menu was inspired by fan photos showing the inventive ways customers order and top their burgers. The four new and delicious unofficial menu items are:
-
The South St. Chicken Club – a traditional club sandwich with grilled chicken breast, bacon, cheese, tomatoes, lettuce and garlic mayo.
-
Mac’s (Big) Burger – 2 4oz patties, 2 slices of cheese, lettuce, pickles, onions, and South St. signature sauce. Named after founder Jay Gould’s son Mac who always orders his burger this way.
-
The Cheesy Vegetarian – a veggie burger with cheese. Brie pairs heavenly with it!
- The Naughty Vegetarian – a veggie burger with bacon! Oh yes, we went there!
For more details on The Secret Menu visit a South St. Burger location. You can also check out http://www.southstburger.com/ I must confess, it had been several months (ok, maybe a year or so) since I was last in a South St. Burger establishment. When offered the opportunity to re-visit my local South St. Burger I thought it would be a wonderful treat to take my daughter along for the experience. Although the end of summer was a busy time, and then the whole back-to-school mayhem took us by storm, we managed to squeeze in a little time for a sit down meal. Our mouths were happy that we did!
Isn’t it about time you allow your mouth to experience a well made burger?
About South St. Burger:
They really have great burgers!
I saw them, but haven’t tried them yet. I will though.
Never been there, may be I just need to try their burgers.
This is my favourite burger place!
