The end of summer is truly here. Every year, at this time, I always do the same thing … it’s routine, it’s tradition. I always bid summer adieu with a visit to the Ex. This year, it ends on September 7th.
Disclosure: I have been compensated to share this post. The opinions on this blog are my own.
Since I always sneak in a few drinks at the end of the day, I take the trust-worthy TTC to the Canadian National Exhibition. Note: If you are attending the CNE this weekend, don’t forgot to bring a hat, sunscreen and lots of water to drink. There are various water refill stations located around the grounds.
If you’ve never been to the Ex before, I think you shouldn’t put it off any longer. There’s so much to see, do, and experience there! [http://theex.com] Personally, I’m not a ‘ride person’ so I avoid the Midway. I tend to visit all the indoor exhibits: butter sculpting, sand sculpting, topiary, the farm, and shopping!
I usually spend an entire day … yes, from open to close. I ensure I try a different food each year, and I usually end up purchasing much more than I expect to!
That’s just how it is; it’s part of the experience and part of the tradition.
By the end of the day, I’m exhausted. That means it’s time to visit the bandshell and enjoy a beverage or two.
I love the EX. I wanted to go this yea but we just can’t. Next year, I hope.
i dont want summer to end!
I see you had a good time at theEx, lots of interesting things there to check.
I’ve never been as I’m always on the West Coast but I’m with you, I’m not a ride girl! I’d love to see the butter sculpting!
I loved visiting the Ex when I lived in Toronto. Hopefully, someday, I will get the chance to take my kids there.
I would love to go, I’m with you about the rides, I too avoid the midway, I love walking through the buildings and seeing what everyone has to offer, and the new foods to try, for me it’s like a great big farmers market with just about anything you want to purchase, can’t wait for the Norfolk County Fair!!
