Let’s all admit that during February, there are days that we look outside and think “oh heck no!” But despite the cold weather, there are those special people; the ones that often make us wonder, “how could they possibly do that job in the cold?” that continue to battle on throughout the colder months.
Tide wants to recognize and celebrate Canadians that suffer the cold to get the job done – our humble, local Cold Weather Heroes! From the crossing guard who helps your little one get to school safely to the linesman braving heights to ensure you have power and heat on these frosty days, Canadian Cold Weather Heroes can be found in every community, and they don’t let the cold stop them!
Tide travelled across Canada to meet real Cold Weather Heroes and document their stories of everyday heroism. Visittheweathernetwork.com to see how a crossing guard, zamboni driver, search and rescue team, fisherman and linesman do their best in the cold!
This month, PGMoms were challenged to identify and celebrate the Cold Weather Heroes in our home towns. We each received a special care package to gift to a Cold Weather Hero that has had a positive impact on our lives. This gift will be to thank them for all the hard work they do on a daily basis, braving the elements.
The special gift will include a limited edition Tide scarf and travel mug to proudly display their everyday heroism and of course, Tide Coldwater HE Liquid laundry detergent to ensure they have a product that is as tough in the cold as they are!
My Cold Weather Hero was simple to select. My very own regular courier (Denise) delivers most of my packages during all kinds of weather. We have built a great relationship; over the years, and she has always been kind and sweet.
That is a nice gesture!
