Monday Mumblings – December 29, 2014

How was your Christmas? Was it everything you had hoped it would be? Was Santa good to you? Were you spoiled?

All great questions … I’d love to hear all about it so leave your answers in the comments below.

Christmas was quiet; as I had suspected it might be! I kept our Christmas meal very simple (stuffed turkey breast), with potatoes, roasted acorn squash, stuffing, and some salad on the side. Simple.

Christmas gifts were opened on Christmas Eve (for a change), and the stockings were left for Christmas Day morn. In reality, it was a pleasant day, and the three of us enjoyed our quiet family time. For me, this was my first Christmas without my mom (she was in the LTC), and without my brother.

Boxing Day was a little different. I hadn’t gone out shopping on Boxing Day in years. To keep within the “let’s do things differently” thing, we went out to look for deals. My daughter and I even picked up the same rain jacket!

  1. Lovely picture! I’m glad to hear you had a pleasant Christmas, albeit not like usual. My holidays was exactly as expected, and was really enjoyable and sweet, spent with people I love.

  2. I’m glad you enjoyed your Christmas, this year was supposed to be a quiet one for us, but everyone showed up, which was kinda nice, had a nice meal and went to bed early which was nice for a change!!
