The Holiday Season #PGMom

Lately it’s been difficult to get into any spirit, much less the Holiday Spirit; however, now that my mom has started to settle in and fit in to the long-term care facility I’m starting to feel much better about her whole situation.

While I have not yet put up the tree, or any holiday decorations, I do still love Christmas.  I’ve always loved Christmas, and it’s always been my favourite time of the year.   My favourite thing about Christmas is the joy that most people feel around this time of year.  I especially love bringing joy to others; either by things I do for others or by time spent with them.  The saying “it is better to give than to receive” is true.  At least it becomes apparent as one crosses into adulthood.   It was actually when I became a mother that I truly discovered what being ‘selfless’ was all about.  Since the very first moment I discovered I was pregnant, until present date, I have always put my daughter first.  While my daughter is 16 years old, I don’t foresee it being any other way.  Of course, I don’t know what the future will be like … will I think of my daughter first when I’m 86 and she’s 56?  Life has many stages but; for now. doing what I can for my daughter is a given.

As a PGMom, I have been very fortunate.  I get to share my experiences with you! What I like best is while sharing my experiences, opinions, and giveaways with you, I still can be the best mom I can be for my daughter, and I can share everything with her too!  I can share product, experiences, and take each moment as a moment I can cherish.  It can be great fun to share experiences with my daughter; however, each experience is an opportunity to become a life-learning and/or life-changing opportunity.  Moms are teachers to their children … always … and sometimes moms can even learn from their children!  I’ve learned, from my daughter, that I can love unconditionally; love for her is eternal.

Thank you to P&G for including me in the PG-Family; it’s truly an honour.

Merry Christmas to you all!

  1. This year will be the first Christmas that we are not doing gifts, we decided this a few months back, and I was quite relieved no one complained, I’m still hosting a Christmas meal there just won’t be any gifts, well I can’t say any the babies will be receiving gifts, but to me that is what Christmas is all about it’s about being with family and enjoying the little ones!!! Merry Christmas!!
