This holiday season, G.T.A. P&Gmom bloggers are being given the chance to get in the spirit with their family in support of a great cause; unfortunately I wasn’t able to accept.
On Saturday, December 6 and Sunday, December 7, hundreds of families will kick-off the holiday season by decorating gingerbread houses at Habitat for Humanity GTA’s 12th annual Gingerbread Build with help from your favourite holiday helper, Bounty.
While volunteers have to be at least 16 years of age to be on a Habitat build site, children of any age can participate in the Gingerbread Build. By doing so, they are offering a ‘hand up’ to children in need of a simple, decent, affordable home. To add – 100% percent of the funds raised will go directly to building more Habitat homes for families in need of affordable housing in the GTA.

What? Fun festivities, prizes, music, and a visit from Santa!

Where? Challenge Zone (Weston Family Innovation Centre), Ontario Science Centre, 770 Don Mills Rd, Toronto. Free parking provided for event participants.
