Tuesday Talk – October 21, 2014

Lately I’ve noticed that many so-called Mom Bloggers are switching over their blogs to Food Blogs.  Those bloggers can do whatever they want to do; that is not a concern to me.  It is; however, difficult to keep track of who is who and what they are doing.

Personally, I have several interests so I can understand writing about the various topics that are of interest to me.  What I mentioned above goes beyond this. It would be like me all of a sudden to only write about clay.  Shocking isn’t it?  Worse yet food is where it’s at because pictures of yummy food (with/without recipes) gets attention, gets shared, gets comments, etc.

The other type of blog that some are switching to is a Travel Blog.  Why?  Same reason … great pictures get attention!

As a blog follower, have you been noticing this trend?  What do you think about it?  Let me know; leave a comment below.

  1. I have not noticed blogs switching to just food. I do tend to commit more on food posts. As for travel, I kind of find it irritating. We don’t travel and so it is not an interest to me. Keep doing what you are doing.

  2. I’ve noticed that food-related posts are becoming more popular, but I haven’t noticed many blogs switching, like you have.

  3. I have definitely noticed this too. On both the food and the travel front. I think people should blog about whatever they’d like but I have to admit that I miss seeing the personal stories when someone makes the switch. I’ve also noticed, on the rare occasion that I’ve blogged about food, those posts are the most viewed and the most commented upon.
