Tuesday Talk – October 14, 2014

Thanksgiving is always a day of celebration, giving thanks, and family time … with turkey and pecan pie!  Well, at least at my house it is; however, this year it was a little different.  Since my mom was in the hospital, we didn’t have our traditional turkey meal.  In fact, I didn’t cook turkey at all!

Truth be told, I didn’t cook at all.  Instead, we went out to dinner at the Keg restaurant.  I enjoyed a pecan encrusted sirloin steak!  How’s that for a Thanksgiving dinner that I didn’t even have to cook!?

This was the first Thanksgiving that I didn’t have to cook, where I didn’t have to get stressed out, where I didn’t have to sweat my ‘bleep’ off in order to get everything prepared.

I hope you enjoyed your Thanksgiving as much as I enjoyed mine.

  1. We enjoyed Thanksgiving. I actually cooked more than usual and only got stresses once when everyone decided they needed to be in the kitchen while the final prep was done before it all hit the table. I was very remorseful, as that is not what it is all about. I hope your Mom is doing better.
