Tuesday Talk – August 5, 2014

It’s hard to believe that August is already here; but it is.  I’m surprised at how it’s looking and feeling like fall!  It’s true!  There are leaves all over my backyard, and in spite of all of the sunshine it really hasn’t been all that hot.  It’s been quite cool; especially in the early mornings, and sometimes it has even felt like it’s September weather … you know what I’m talking about right?  The mornings have been a little chilly; perfect weather for those brisk morning walks.

I know it’s too early to say; but, what happened to those hot days of August?  The weather has really changed a lot, around the whole world really.  It is no longer how I remember weather to be.  The four seasons have really smashed into each other: we now get milder winters, wet summers, hot autumns, and dry springs!  What the heck?  It’s happening everywhere!  We’ve watched while there are crazy tornados, unexpected floods,  wild fires, scary earthquakes …. if I ever have to go through one of these forces of nature, I’ll truly break down!  That is; of course, if I survive.  If disaster struck we definitely would NOT be prepared.  I don’t think anyone can really be.

What do you think?

  1. The seasons have defiantly been changing. They are not the same as I remember when I was a kid! This summer has been extremely mild and it seems like all the garden veggies are taking their time to ripen. And if there was a disaster here I am in the same boat – not prepared!
