@Samsung Galaxy Gear Smartphone Should Become Smarter (sorry)

I’m not so sure that the Samsung Galaxy Gear smartwatch is for me.

Galaxy Gear box

It is an attractive (not fashionable), comfortable, and large enough (1.6″ screen) to ‘see’ incoming calls or reminders, etc.  The screen resolution is fine but it’s not HD.  I like how you can take good pictures with it, and how it is automatically, via Bluetooth, saved onto your phone.  You can choose to keep the pictures on the watch too  The pictures aren’t incredibly detailed; however, you are able to capture those moments.  Anyone looking to become a spy?  Just an afterthought, the camera is placed in an inconspicuous place (into the wristband) so it’s actually unsightly.  The watch certainly isn’t sleek in the least bit.

There are; however, negative points to consider as well:   it lacks social network support and even email support, and (last but not least) you have to make sure that you have a compatible device in which for it to work with … which means that its usefulness comes into question.

Lastly, the battery life can last 1-2 days (depending on use).  Overall, I see great potential; although, Samsung will have to tweak this little baby to make it more functional!

  1. It sounds like they are off to a good start but maybe need to go back to the drawing board to make it more functional for people in social media.
It’s kinda big too…. I like everything small. Maybe micro size it and I’d be more keen. 🙂
