· S Pen – the perfect tool for taking notes on calls or writing shopping lists; personalizing emails; creating works of art or just doodling.

· Air View – use your S Pen to help you preview content without actually opening it.

· Peel Smart Remote – manage your TV, cable, satellite, DVD player, Blu-ray, etc. while on-the-go thanks to this universal remote that is compatible with any TV.

· AllShare Play – share your favourite videos, photos and music across your connected devices while viewing your content from anywhere .This tablet is also highly-portable – thanks to its compact size – but most importantly, its ability to access TELUS’ 4G LTE network.

TELUS customers can get their hands on the new Note 8.0 by taking advantage of TELUS’ new Easy Tablet program. The Easy Tablet program allows customers to buy a tablet for a lower up-front cost – all they have to do is pay off the difference in equal monthly payments on their bill over a one or two-year term, completely interest free. For example, you can get the new Note 8 at TELUS for $99 up-front + $20/month over two years, or $339 up-front + $20/month for one year.

And as an added advantage, with TELUS Data Sharing, customers get access to TELUS’ LTE network on their tablet and can simply share their data between devices on the same account.

Since I hadn’t had a chance to try out the Note 8.0 on TELUS’ LTE Network yet, TELUS offered me the opportunity to put it to the test. I received a loaner review unit from TELUS and got to have fun with it for two whole months!

The Note 8.0 is available at TELUS for $579 outright. For more details on general plans and pricing, see here.

zoomedto the max

So far I LOVE the new Note 8.0; however, I think it’s my daughter who is going to be really sad when I have to return it.  I really only had the chance to test it out during the first week; after that my daughter swiped it from me.

greatpictures  She totally lives on Instagram and she loved the crisp pictures taken with the Samsung Note 8.0 … she got to show off everything she ate, purchased, and wore effortlessly.  Each picture she took was better than the last and she started taking the Note 8.0 everywhere she went while leaving her camera at home.

It was really cool when my daughter received a request from National Post Gastropost to use her picture that she posted on Instagram because they thought her food pictures were amazing!

superthin  The Note 8.0 is thin and light but it isn’t so small that it would fit in my daughter’s purse to go … oh no … that was left for mommy’s purse to carry … everywhere we went!  I was lucky enough to be able to pull the Note 8.0 away from my daughter long enough to play a game or two of Candy Crush Saga.  Almost everyone I know is hooked on that game!

funpasstime

The graphics are amazing and the tablet is comfortable to hold, even for long periods of time.  That means it’s great for on-the-go bloggers like me.

easytohold

I did get to use the Note 8.0 to check my email, Tweet and share information on Facebook but there’s so much more you can do with the Note 8.0!  The variety of apps available allow you to discover a world of endless possibilities.

funapps  I created a variety of notes for celebratory purposes; like Happy Birthday notes.  Alas; unfortunately, I have to return my loaner to TELUS.  My daughter and I will be sad to no longer have “our Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0” around any longer.  We would have loved to call the Note 8.0 as officially ours … maybe one day … but, for now, we both stand by our unanimous decision:  we totally LOVE it and suggest you take a trip to TELUS and check off one of your back-to-school needs off of your list.
