Thought I’d share a Simple Buttercream recipe with you; afterall, there are many Birthdays year-round!
3/4 (375 g) unsalted butter, softened, 3 sticks
3 cups (750 mL) icing sugar
1/4 tsp (1 mL) salt
While your cake cools, prepare Simple Buttercream. In a large bowl, cream butter using an electric mixer on high speed. Reduce speed to low and add icing sugar 1/2 cup (125 mL) at a time until all sugar is incorporated. Beat in salt, increase speed to high, and continue beating until light and fluffy.
