There’s only a few days left to participate in the Flip Ultra HD campaign, as a BzzAgent, I think it’s important to re-cap a few points:
The Flip Ultra HD has defined buttons, including playback and delete buttons, and a four-way navigation pad. There is a bright red record button in the middle; the up and down arrows control the 2X digital zoom.
I had no problem framing and playing back my movies on the screen. The Flip Ultra HD has few buttons: pressing the playback button enters playback mode: however, the camera immediately starts playing the last clip you filmed. You have to press the button again to pause it, and then use the left and right buttons on the navigation pad to scroll through them. When you press the record button, it goes back to shooting mode. You may use the up and down buttons to operate the zoom.
The Flip Ultra HD has 8GB of internal memory, which can store up to 2 hours of 720p video. The video looks colourful, bright, and very sharp. Even moving objects look smooth in playback!!
I found that the sound quality was exceptional, and I’m very happy with the loud built-in speaker.
The Ultra HD carries its FlipShare software right in the video camera itself! There’s no installation disc in the box. You install the software when you connect it to your PC using the flip-out connector … great for non-tech people like me!
The Flip Ultra HD can record up to 2 hours of HD video, and every time you stop recording a clip, you can see on-screen exactly how many minutes of recording time you have left. This way you know how to plan out what you are recording!
