About the Author

Jonni McCoy has been helping increase the shopping power of people since 1991. She has appeared on the Gayle King Show and The 700 Club, and radio programs such as Dr. Laura and FamilyLife Today. She has also been featured in the Wall Street Journal, Good Housekeeping, Family Circle, Woman’s Day, and Woman’s World magazines. Jonni lives in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
My Opinion
There is no shame in being frugal; in fact, these days it’s almost a necessity.  How to be more careful with your money is on everyone’s minds lately, so why not also “trim the fat” in the kitchen?   I thought that I was pretty economical in my grocery shopping and cooking.  Apparently there are ways to stretch your grocery dollars even more!  Jonni McCoy provides a Nutritional Analysis Per Serving on each recipe, as well as, a Cost Per Serving.   These bits of information help you stay on track of your nutritional and financial goals.  While I haven’t tried EVERY recipe yet, I can say that the ones I have tried are easy to prepare and tasty.  I have no professional training as a chef, so I was pleased that didn’t need any fancy tools or tricky maneuvers to make the recipes.  At least I can rest knowing that a real Chef has prepared every recipe in the book so as to ensure the accuracy of each recipe, and that it is tasty.  I am very eager to try more recipes and feel quite confident that I won’t be having any difficulties doing so.
Suffice it to say, I’ve made room on my cookbook shelf for Healthy Meals For Less!
