Good things come in threes, they say, and this is our third week! I have really been trying to be more active, while being more cautious about what I eat. That doesn’t mean I’ve been a perfect saint; however, I have been making a real effort to making a change in my life. I hope to hear good things from you too!
From the bottom of my heart, I hope that these We Can Wednesdays posts help you, or inspire you, in some way.
Mer, I’m happy to hear that you’ve joined a Yoga class! I use to go before all my back issues; I love Yoga. Steps “equivalent in time” is difficult to say since it’s all relative; however, I’d say that 7500 steps (or so) should take about an hour and is equivalent to approximately 4 km.
Have you encountered any difficulties or roadblocks? Have you given up? Have you stuck to your guns?
There is no “set time” to form a routine; although many say 30-66 days, because everyone is different. However long it takes, as far as I’m concerned, all that matters is that we understand that it does take time. Long story short, if you haven’t gotten use to your exercise routine don’t worry because (sooner or later) you will.
I won’t lie, I’ve had difficult moments sticking with my program. The weather was cold, my back hurt, the arthritis in my knee was bad, I had cramps, I was tired, I didn’t feel like it, I didn’t want to bundle up, and the excuses went on and on and on! In spite of all of my attempted road blocks, I managed to find enough courage inside just to “get out there” and to just “get it done”!
Here’s hoping you leave me some good news.
Here’s my third update:
Last Tuesday & Wednesday I didn’t walk.
… Yes, this past week I let it slide big time! The weather didn’t help, but it wasn’t the only reason. I hope that this week it’ll be better.
