Have you ever experienced sewage backup? We have! Or should I say, we did?! Yup, the whole ordeal has been total chaotic mayhem. I can’t really explain, well enough, how intense the smell was throughout the house. Suffice it to say, it was so strong I could almost taste it!
Has “ew” come to mind yet?
We’ve had the plumbers here for 5 days now, and are expecting them back tomorrow. The total cost is unknown, for now, but we’re guessing it’ll be somewhere between 7 and 10 thousand! This is why Penny Power is so important … for times like these. There’s really no time to be cautious with what the bill will be when you have an emergency like this. It is what it is. Truthfully, there is no option. You just have to get it done; pain or no pain.
I’m hoping they’ll be done by tomorrow; however, that’ll mean clean-up! Guess who will have to do that? Hmm, help me think now … Jake? Jasper? My daughter? My partner? Ha! Double Ha! It’ll have to be me, myself, and ” good ‘ol ” I. Yay me! Gee, I can hardly wait to take on that honour.
Again, you do what you have to do.
What’s important is, once completed, there will no longer be tree roots breaking our pipes, we will not have to deal with sewage backup again, we will be able to breathe, and it’ll no longer be a health hazard.
This week has been FUN. What’s been happening with you?

What a terrible time to have a tree break your pipes. Sorry for the misfortune, and for you having to be the one to clean it all up. If I lived closer, I’d help.
I went through this at my old house and it was a nightmare! I hope it all works out for you.
