I use Feedburner as a service that enables some of my readers to receive my blog’s content via RSS. Unfortunately, according to the most recent news, Google will be shutting Feedburner down … as of October 20, 2012 to be exact.

Many have been using Feedburner as an effective way to deliver news, posts, and any other information that you’ve signed up for. What this means now is, if you’d like to continue receiving my posts, please ensure that you sign up for my newsletter via email (for example) because my blog’s host (WordPress) will continue to deliver it that way.
My Bits and Bleeps will “revert back to my blog’s native RSS feed (which will be the underlying source for the Feedburner feed).” I will also continue to serve my email subscribers with WordPress’ email subscription service.

I am opting out of email service all together after Oct. With the option of being a follower, you get to read blogs automatically in Google reader. I don’t have enough email subscribers anyway. I can see how it would be different for WordPress users though.
