Our household went through some fun last week … lots of fun! My partner went to work on Monday, and not a half hour later broke a foot! Fun, eh?
We ended up spending a good 8 hours, on Monday, in emergency. The majority of that time was spent waiting. That night, we had a difficult time maneuvering the foot so as to not hurt. I’m not sure if that was the most difficult … maybe the ‘baby’ that came through, in my partner, was the most difficult to handle. (for me)
On Tuesday, we spent hours waiting, at the Fracture Clinic, so to get the cast done. The break was bad, and we feared that surgery would be inevitable; however, we were lucky. The foot was put in a cast; we paid $160 and got an air-cast.
The rest of the week was enjoyable (Ha!), and I got a lot done (Not!) … that’s ok though, we found out that through thick or thin our family can pull together to make things work. Now, all we have to do is get through the next 6 weeks!
