I don’t need to remind you of the fact that November 11th is Remembrance Day … the day that we take time to remember the end of WWII. I’m certain that you are quite aware of the importance of this specific day. Although I was born long after World War II, I feel I have been around enough people of that “time”, and have heard many tales. Add on all that is taught in school, over the years, and all that I’ve read on my own … it’s fair to say that I know how blessed I am to live in Canada. All our rights, and freedoms were secured by all those who served in either World War (and any of the post WWII as well).
I feel disgusted when I see news explaining how certain people have completely shown a total disrespect for our veterans. The most recent act of vandalism, that I know of, someone taped up a statue honouring our war dead. Whoever did this, also damaged the statue.
O.K.; really?!?! What the heck are people, like this, thinking? Do they even have a brain? Totally disgusting. I have no respect for this type of person.
I don’t want to dwell on this because these “losers” don’t deserve attention. Instead, I will leave you with this:
